Through Stanley Martin’s “Green Living” program, Stanley Martin Custom Homes builds energy efficient custom homes in the Washington, DC area. Importantly, every new home we build exceeds industry standards for energy efficiency, which go well beyond the EPA’s requirements.

Moreover, one of the benefits of building your own custom home these days is that they are significantly more energy efficient than older homes. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, new homes are typically up to 30 percent more efficient than older homes (and our new homes are even more efficient). In the long-term, you can save a significant amount of money on your energy bills.
